Hey guys. So this here blog of mine has really taken off recently (I'm pulling in hundreds of hits in a week, which is still mind-blowing to me), and in light of this I've started thinking about ways I can expand the blog and the community surrounding it.
The next logical step seems to be to open up a forum. I've been hesitant to do this, because I know how hard it is to build up an active user base for a forum surrounding a hobby like this. But considering all of the new and extra traffic the blog has been pulling in, I also feel like it would be a good way to reach out to those people who are reading the blog and not really contributing. It would also be a great way to further discuss strategies and whatnot.
I want this blog to be more than just a website that people visit and read. My original goal with the blog was to develop an interactive, community-run platform where users could write and submit their own material for consideration on the blog, as well as interact with one another, whether that be to arrange trades or to swap strategies and tips, etc. The problem is that I'm not sure how to go about building that kind of experience.
So, for now, I think a forum is in order! I'll be working on it over the next few days and I expect to launch it early next week. I'll keep you all posted!
That would be awesome. And perhaps you could hold weekly KCVDS tournaments with that Forum community eh?
